Relaxed muscles, but torqued tendons

Was what I focused on today during my circle walking. Tight muscles are not what helps when issuing power, or fluid movements in martial arts. So today I worked on relaxing all of my muscles quite a bit. At the same time I focused on elongating and twisting my tendons. Also of course all of the regular things to focus on, back weightedness, twisting inwards towards the center of the circle, pushing off with the heel…..

I also did the 5 yin organ exercise, as well as a few body conditioning Daoist exercises. I ended with a little bit of yiquan, experimenting with hands and arms completely relaxed, compared with them relaxed but the tendons twisted a bit and stretched out. Both seems to work equally well at this point.
